Postgresql Error Code 1063
Timed out waiting for server startup I've tried to run postgres.exe from the command line to glean more information, but it starts and stops without any output as well. Postgresql Service Started Then Stopped
Go check the Application log: right click on Computer -> Manage -> Events -> Application and look for any errors with PG as a source. I also tried running from the console a couple of different ways and one of the errors I got was pg_ctl: could not start service "postgresql-9.2": error code 1063 postgresql server Not all postgres startup problems are logged in pg_log.

- The log message clearly says that it wasn't expecting a " character on line 392, but it doesn't tell you which one (of two " on this line) is it.
- Don't know what happened, the users reported a connection issue to the database and I found the service will not start.
- When I try to run postgres from the command prompt it gives me that postgresql.conf contains errors?
- Then, unless something else is also wrong, you should be able to start PostgreSQL.

Running the first command showed invalid data in C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\9.1\data\postmaster.pid. Pg_ctl I would assume that there is an unclosed " earlier in the config file. Why does a full moon seem uniformly bright from earth, shouldn't it be dimmer at the "border"?

Look in E:\PostgreSQL\9.2\data\pg_log. Hug!
