I used my old Sony 4X for 2-3 years until I killed it by buying 8X TDK discs and not noticing they had no mention of any slower speed. Good by Power Calibration Error!!!!! i'm using windows 7 ultimate with nero 9,i have not found IMAPI service in administrative tools->services tab. GUESS WHAT!!!?

After the window of the Nero InfoTool has opened, please make sure that your recorder is listed in the window on top left in the tab "Hardware". I tried 2 different fresh TDK packs, and a philips too. I had the power calibration problem which I solved by using a lens cleaner cd(I was skeptical abt it but it did work). You're a life saver. Some discs need more power than others to burn. Ontop of that it's been the same version of Nero. I burned one dvd after that.
