reply Mine started working when I increased the Burn Speed. Try cleaning the disk drive. After reading this post, I tried to solve the Power Calibration Area Error by wiping my lens with a lint-free cloth. Double click (left click) on the “NeroSmartStart” icon you have in the downloaded folder of Nero. It is a good idea to check with Sony to find out if there is a firmware upgrade for the CD or DVD. very thnx.... I use compusa brand crap. So I cleaned my lens with a lens cleaner CD (it is a kind of CD/DVD with a tiny brush fixed somewhere under it).
